Are you facing a major transition in your life? I am dedicated to helping people identify and remove the obstacles to their growth, whether it be in a relationship, career or more of a big-picture existential question of purpose. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapies (IPT) but I also draw from psychodynamic theory and mindfulness techniques whenever best indicated. My goal is to work with you to raise awareness and develop insight into how your relationships and experiences have brought you to this pivotal point and how we can help you get unstuck and pursue the happiness and meaning you seek.
Since earning my Masters in Applied Psychology at Antioch University, I have treated children, teens, adults, families and couples in distress in community mental health and private practice. I rely upon a variety of therapeutic approaches but for me what is critical is fostering a trusting relationship between us through which your personal growth and empowerment are supported. I feel passionate about this process and the power of two people working together. I believe our relational work is the essential component to making sense of ours feelings and improving one's life whether within therapy or beyond.
In addition to private practice, I have been a therapist at Family Service of Santa Monica, a community based non-profit social service agency, since 2013.
I currently have availability at my cozy Santa Monica office several blocks from the Third Street Promenade. I look forward to hearing from you.
